Local-first workflow

GapMap Research Studio is designed so imported research data stays on the researcher's computer during normal desktop use. Bibliographic records, screening decisions, notes, and exports are processed locally by the installed application.

The product is intended for privacy-conscious and GDPR-sensitive workflows where researchers need control over their source files and review data.

Website and checkout data

The public website may collect standard hosting logs and contact messages. Stripe checkout, once enabled, will process buyer payment and billing data under Stripe's own service terms and privacy controls.

The website should not request or upload user research corpora, imported PDFs, private notes, or licence private seed material.

Support data

When a user contacts support, the information voluntarily provided in the message may be used to respond to the request. Users should avoid sending sensitive research material unless support explicitly asks for a minimal diagnostic excerpt.

Legal review

This policy is launch copy and must be reviewed before production use, especially if analytics, email marketing, telemetry, cloud sync, or automated licence delivery is added later.
