Use of the software

GapMap Research Studio is Windows desktop software for literature screening, extraction, and research workflow support. It is intended to assist researchers, not replace academic judgement, institutional review, citation checks, or methodological supervision.

Users are responsible for the legality and quality of the bibliographic records, abstracts, PDFs, notes, and other materials they import.

Researcher-controlled corpus

The software is designed around user-supplied exports: Scopus CSV, Web of Science plain-text or CSV exports, RIS, BibTeX, and XLSX or generic CSV files. GapMap Research Studio does not depend on a platform-owned closed corpus.

Users must comply with the terms of the databases, publishers, institutions, and data providers from which they obtain records or documents.

Licence and trial limits

The trial provides limited access for 14 days and up to 50 records. A paid licence unlocks full-record workflows and PDF, DOCX, and XLSX exports.

Licence files are issued separately and must not be shared, resold, reverse engineered, or used to bypass licence limits.

Software status

The software may contain workflow limits and output defects. Users should independently review generated screening decisions, extraction fields, summaries, and exports before relying on them.

The software is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a specific publication, regulatory, clinical, legal, or assessment outcome.
